Has anyone here ever had a colonic? It's usually 'recommended' that raw foodies do it as part of the detoxification process. However, I always read about mixed feelings on it - some say it's perfectly safe and fine, while others advise against it. I'm debating whether to get one, but so far I'm thinking no just to be on the safe side. Yet, thinking about 'cleaning out house' is very appealing to me. Some would argue that our body has everything it needs internally to completely clean ourselves out, and is in no need of any medical procedure. What do you think?

didnt finish
Sorry about not finishing my comment. But I just wanted to end with although i think colonics are a benefit to your health, i think its a good idea to wait. My situation was probably diffrent then yours-- as I was very ill--and you seem like your healthy enough to transition into a new raw food lifestyle.

So i agree with the other person who commented that waiting is a good idea :)

Re: didnt finish
I'm starting to re-think a colonic, at least right now. I think it might be too drastic for me at this point in time as I'm just starting out with the raw foods (about 2 weeks into it now). I guess I'll have to go ahead and agree with you to wait. I'll see how I feel down the road. Thanks for the responses :)
