Has anyone here ever had a colonic? It's usually 'recommended' that raw foodies do it as part of the detoxification process. However, I always read about mixed feelings on it - some say it's perfectly safe and fine, while others advise against it. I'm debating whether to get one, but so far I'm thinking no just to be on the safe side. Yet, thinking about 'cleaning out house' is very appealing to me. Some would argue that our body has everything it needs internally to completely clean ourselves out, and is in no need of any medical procedure. What do you think?

I recommend it. I first started because I ws really sick and needed to make some big changes fast about a year ago. And since im not into traditional medicine it felt like the only alternative. I would suggest that it be done only with a gravity hydrotherapy method, and ofcourse by a credible place.. Here is the directory for colonic specialists in the U.S. :

It was after this experience of being sick that the therapist suggested i incorporate a more raw lifestyle.. so thats where im at right know :)
